The Lego Store at Rockefeller Center, NYC

Sometime in April i was in New York for work so i got to do a bit of sightseeing. I was at the rockefeller center doing the tourist thing so i dropped by the lego store there. Here's some highlights:

The shop itself is standard fare as far as lego stores go. Its a corner lot with 1 and half floors of retail and decently sized for a specialty shop in central manhattan.

Cool art deco-inspired mural at the portal going up the mezzanine floor.

Couple'o builds of NYC's famous landmark, grand central station and...i was gonna say brooklyn bridge, which is more popular but i think its actually manhattan bridge:

Couple'o miniland scaled dioramas of scenes you'd find in new york:

This viewer is pretty cool; you can look through the eyepiece and see lady liberty rendered 2 dimensionally in lego - its a simple build, but clever:

The BIG APPLE, geddit? Geddit?... Eh, fuhgeddaboutit.

Centrepiece of the store is of course this diorama of rockefeller center itself:
